A Note From Jason

Hello all,

Jason speaking to the crowd at a recent event for builders, architects, and designers.

Jason speaking to the crowd at a recent event for builders, architects, and designers.

It’s finally February! Our days are getting longer and we are slowly, but surely, inching our way towards spring. Though it hasn’t felt like much of a classic New England winter, I’m definitely not complaining.

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner (you’re welcome for the reminder, gentlemen) and there’s really no better way to express your love than the gift of an updated bathroom. Whether it’s a gorgeous showerhead or luxurious towel warmer, your significant other will fall in love with a number of our products. Yes, luxury bathroom pieces are the new roses and chocolates.

Just following V-Day, we are kicking off our Presidents’ Day Sale at our Watertown and Beverly showrooms. From February 15th through the 22nd, you can enjoy HUGE savings on some of our hottest kitchen and bathroom products. Also happening in February is the Boston Home Show at the Seaport World Trade Center starting February 21st through the 23rd. You won’t want to miss this amazing group of exhibitors — register for your tickets here.

Now without further ado, we are thrilled to introduce our February Showroom Favorites blogger: Lisa Buyuk. Since 1995, Lisa Buyuk has been helping clients create their dream spaces. Lisa launched Buyuk Interiors in 2002 after working with two nationally recognized Boston interior design firms. She holds a Masters of Interior Design degree from the New England School of Art and Design, as well as a BA in Art History and French Language and Literature from Boston University.

Have a wonderful month and I hope to see you at one of our showrooms during our President’s Day Sale!

Best,

Jason Sevinor

President

LISA JARVIS HARDWARE

I recently specified this hardware for a master bath vanity. The client is young and has a lot of spunk — we needed the right kind of “jewelry” to compliment both her personality and the flat panel vanity cabinetry. These knobs bring the bling!

JULIEN FIRA COLLECTION SINGLE UNDERMOUNT FIRECLAY KITCHEN SINK W/ LEDGE

For me, this sink is about materiality and versatility. I absolutely love the fusion of fireclay and wood. I felt an immediate sense of connection to the natural materials.

The functionality of the sink is also noteworthy. When you have a compact kitchen, finding usable counter space can be problematic. The sliding cutting board is simply a great resolution for that.

DXV CANVAS WHITE SINK & DXV WALL MOUNT BATHROOM FAUCET POLISHED CHROME

When I saw this sink on the showroom floor, I had an immediate sense of nostalgia. Isn’t that what designing homes is all about — a connection to a memory or feeling?

The lines of DXV faucet evoked that memory of something from the past but its form is clean and unencumbered; perfect for the way we live our lives today.

This sink has such great scale and proportion. Using it in a bathroom is an obvious choice, but I also think it would make a fabulous laundry sink!

STONE FOREST VENTUS BATH SINK WITH ANTIQUE GRAY LIMESTONE

This vanity is so strong and handsome. It is the perfect balance of industrialism and earthiness. I love the mix of materials: stone, metal, and wood. Its masculinity makes me immediately think to put it in a man’s bathroom. The wide shallow sink doubles as counter surface and the wall mount faucet is a great solution for spaces where depth is an issue.

ROHL ENGLISH GOLD KITCHEN CONTEMPORARY PULL DOWN FAUCET

I’ve recently been designing many compact kitchens where scale is of the utmost importance. This Rohl faucet not only has a luxurious and warm tone, but its scale works perfectly in a smaller kitchen. Understanding scale is vital in design. It’s excellent that Designer Bath understands this and the significance of experiencing a piece in person before purchasing.
